Biden has announced a ban on gas too. And coal.

The UK has announced its going to phase out Russian Oil by the end of 2022. Does make you wonder if the Russians will just stop selling the UK oil and gas now - depends on how much they need the cash I suppose.

March 8 (Reuters) - Russia and the United States should return to the principle of "peaceful co-existence" like during the Cold War, the Interfax news agency cited the Russian foreign ministry as saying on Tuesday.

The foreign ministry added that it was open to honest and mutually respectful dialogue with the United States and that hope remained that normalcy in relations between the two countries could be restored, Interfax reported.

Everyone has a genuine interest in this topic for obvious reasons - you don't get to monopolise that.

And I don't think I've posted many links, particularly in recent days.  You're welcome to your dull echo chamber thread.

Thank you.

Some interesting articles being dug up: In this one retired Russian Military 2nd in command, General Leonid Ivashov recognised the shortcomings of the Russian Military and the literal and geopolitical quagmire Putin was sending them to:

Article is translated, but cross-checked and verified, dated 28th Jan, published 11th Feb this year..

Not entirely sure what this means- are the planes then going to be handed over to Ukrainian pilots?

Exactly that.  It puts the blame on the US when they end up in the Ukraine Air Force.

Somebody needs to tell them that the road to power involves gathering support from voters before they can burn down the Parliament. In the 2019 elections, the far right joined together yet managed to get just 2.15% of the popular vote and no seats in Parliament.

Yeah, that’s how Hitler started - a small % of the vote - but thugs are thugs and they seize power with violence. Video below.

Sergey Sivokho, an adviser to the head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, whom Zelenskyy had assigned to create a National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity, was physically assaulted at the initial public conference, March 12, 2020, on the reintegration of Donetsk and Luhansk. Sivokho, an older man with white hair, was cursed, surrounded, pressed against a wall, and finally shoved to the ground by Azov Battalion members.

Hitler got over 30% of the national vote on a background of losing the first world war, hyperinflaton, unemployment, and mass fear of communism. These jokers managed to get a seat in 2014 and then lost it in 2019 - they don't even have 3%. The far right in France in comparison has far more political clout yet I don't see a single thread about them.

The Azov Battalion is an issue I will give you that. But invading a country on the pretext of liberating it from 600 right wing soldiers is laughable, particularly when the country's leader is Jewish.

'600 right wing soldiers" are you sure?
