I think Jota poses more treat when coming off the bench. This might not be true, just my impression.

Maybe similar thinking with Thiago, overrun their midfield early on and then bring Thiago once we need to control the last 20 mins, or need someone to play a killer pass.

I agree, I honestly think Jota is a “super sub”.

Hoping this is the plan.  Just depends on staying in the contest until the 60th minute.

But again they will drop balls in behind the full backs. The plan perhaps being to 'get to' the likes of Kroos before he can get his head up. Which, I presume, was the plan last time. Which failed.

There needs to be intensity tonight.  There won't.

Lol at signing Thiago instead of a centre back and then not playing him in the Champions League quarter finals. We've been very competent for the last couple of years. This is what shit show, not competent clubs do. Ridiculous.

Agree mate. It feels like the Clubs collective brains have emigrated this season.

The problem with that strategy is that Kroos plays very deep in possession and always has options. The other problem is that Modric is nearly as good on the ball as Kroos anyway.

I'm not even going to pretend I understand the thinking behind playing Mane and Milner. Luckily Klopp knows a lot fucking more than I do.

He's going for the physical workhorse midfield. The problem is that we signed a class player on huge wages and are leaving him on the bench.

I mean maybe Thiago has a knock or something but I think you're probably right.

No clue on Mane. Has been total shit for a while now.

Hopefully we'll win tonight and get through but I'm not even that arsed, it doesn't even feel like a big european night without the fans.

Feel the same.

Even if we get through tonight I don't see us getting past Chelsea the way we are playing and getting twatted by City in the final is a god awful thought. Just don't think we have the form or ability to keep the clean sheets needed
