I found a screen in game which isn’t in the hard coding.

 

Things like playmaker use, dirtiness etc. 
 

There’s about 6/7 things that could be changed, but when I first mentioned it most were against any changes.

 

We’re all set to nothing so the AI takes over, but it’s so thing that could be looked at.

Looks like a number of the values are set to 0 as default, so will be random when new games are created.

Yeah, but stuff like marking contrdict, unless, I assume, you set man marking, for instance, to zero and Zonal to high and then have high rating for 'marking' totally.

 

I don't know, seems like changing things for changing thing sake at this point.

Seems like it's just a consequence of the game's evolution - too many overlapping attributes that they've tried to break down into individual attributes. They did the same thing when they introduced player roles - the idea is nice, the execution not so.

 

Have to say that they've completely fudged the editor too. Used to be so much easier to customise as you desired.

I don't enjoy playing the actual game anymore as it's too convoluted and takes an age, but I've always enjoyed playing about with the editor.

 

This version though I have been literally banging my head against walls to fix things and patch things, it's been a cunt to get, previously simple things, done.

 

I've never used FM forums but I had to delve into them to  try and find answers, but even they are avoiding stuff as one bad line and everything is fucked.

 

I've, somehow, managed to fudge it mainly by trial and error and cutting out large parts of the wider game.

Yeah, I did see a couple of your posts on the offal FM forums.

 

I don't understand why SI made it so complicated to create fully customisable games/databases.

 

You've done a grand job with the resources that you have available to you. (Other than setting all my stats to max of course...)
