Wolves (A) Premier League - 15/3/21 - 20:00

Amazing how a goal changes the impression of a game. Wolves used a lot of energy especially in the first 20 minutes. I actually thought alli was a bit fortunate not to give away a pen in the first few minutes.

Sadio then had some good chances but couldnt steer the ball into the net. Commentators saying alli looks nervous but I thought that was a good punch. Yes, he could have caught and that might have been a better option so long as he doesnt drop it.

I thought Jota's strike had just gone the wrong side of the post especially when the lad didnt celebrate too much. Something to boost us for the 2nd half and maybe just deflate Wolves a little.

Oh and Thiago, stop giving needless fouls away.

Seriously...what the hell has happened to this team?

Its like its full of imposters. Until Jota scored there, we were so lacklustre I'm just shaking my head in disbelief.

Whats happened to the best goalie in the world? He looks like Mignolet at the moment.

Mane used to slot those chances for breakfast now he's looking like Origi.

Salah has hardly touched the ball or been involved.

Both Trent and Robbo have been wasteful and slinging in hopeful ball.

Thiago? This guy has always been world class. He currently plays like Fred.

The only players to come out with credit that half are Jota, Phillips and kabak.

Get in Reds, brilliant goal!

I wrote earlier that our counter attacking had gone completely to shite. This goal is exactly what we’ve been missing, and what we did constantly last year. Once the opposition i caught off balance we punish them eith a few quick passes.

All in all an average first half. First fifteen we were poor, then good up to around 40 minutes, then piss poor until stoppage time.

Phillips, Mane and Jota have played well. If Mane had gotten his finishing right that would’ve been a world class half from him.

Finally something goes our way. Our finishing and decision making has gone to complete pot. The hallmark of the last 2 seasons was just how clinical and decisive we were in the big moments, we now consistently fuck it up. Mane’s refusal to go down is infuriating and particularly given the fact used to be the master of going down and making the most of the contact.
