He is in this version, and others from memory and everybody refers to him as a midfielder, where as your boy is making names as an attacker.

 

Anymore not in the spirit of the game nonsense there will be sanctions.

 

 

Im fact he's a competent midfielder, which means in game he wouldn't play there unless you chose no other midfielders...

 

I'll let others choose if you can keep him, three objection and you can choose again.

It's a bit off to accuse me of acting against the spirit of the game. I have no earthly idea what position Kulusevski plays in real life, except that he's listed as a midfielder on every single FM site, and Wikipedia says he's a winger or midfielder.

 

As I say, it wasn't clear that midfield meant natural central midfielders only and that we are picking 6 players for 2 CM slots. And I don't have the game, so I'm relying on what those websites say (and according to FM Scout, Coutinho hasn't been a natural central midfielder in any version of the game).

 

Incidentally, according to FM Scout, FM Databa and FM Inside, Foden isn't a natural CM either.

 

It doesn't bother me either way, I'd have picked someone else if I'd known, I just don't like the implication I'm trying to gain an unfair advantage.

Yeah .. don’t agree with this, Coutinho Def wouldn’t be considered a natural midfielder in the CM sense. But he can play there, so fine. Wouldn’t restrict this to CMs only - just keep using judgment calls. Gnabry is a winger from recollection. As long as these slots aren’t being used for proxy strikers like Messi does it matter? To be honest given there are already 6 slots for strikers in the forward section, if players start plumping this with players their AI will allocate to forward positions during game it’ll only hamper performance anyway

Coutinho got picked as a midfielder Last time so I didn't think there was any dispute. I don't know anything about Kul-whatever. Gnabry is clearly a forward though.

Coutinho played in a midfield 3 for us for years so it’s fair enough that he’s seen as a CM, in my honest and more important opinion.

He’s nominally an attacker hence the distinction, he may have played in midfield a few times, but is by no means a midfielder.

 

Its just common sense. 
 

Next time, if it runs, there’ll be much clearer parameters.
