A truly great album. They get a rough ride on here but I think they are superb.

When I was making myself Smiths mixed tapes at the time, I struggled how many songs to leave out from the other three albums, Strangeways I would only take Paint a Vulgar Picture, the rest was either in the I heard it before from them but better category, or in the I wish they left it for singles fillers category.

I think disco dancer is my favourite track of theirs, even if it is a dear prudence rip off.
