Don’t think they’d get far in a best album of all time tournament, saying that The Streets somehow managed to get into it so fuck knows.

And I would vote and at least try to listen to contestants I don't know, I'd even give Coltrane a spin. I think there may be quite a few people who wouldn't put jazz albums on their top 20 or 50 but are not totally disinterested. Mix some vocal jazz in and you may get enough interest for a short tournament.

If you struggle with Coltrane I would recommend Crescent, Ballads or Ole as good entry points.

 

The tournament would be great for me but I'm a lot lazier than Stig (hats off to him) so someone else would have to take the initiative.
