An excellent draw for us and Real Madrid.

Well, yes, at least you'll have a good night on the piss in a bar eating chilli prawns, patatas bravas and those delicacy fish-throat things from San Sebastian that Rick Stein mentioned - while singing all afternoon with a bunch of old fart bloke gourmands - in one of his documentaries.

Unless you're no longer in Spain of course.

Just looking at the La Liga table, hadn't realised Barcelona and Real had reeled in Atletico a fair bit. Real in third, six points behind Atletico, two behind Barcelona.

Sadly not. I'll have a fortnight of avoiding my girlfriend's old man who supports Real Madrid (and who I usually watch games with).

It'll be fucking horrible.

Atletico rarely twat teams. So it's basically just 1-0s becoming 0-0. Barcelona are the team in form. They were miles away a couple of months ago. Real Madrid string two or three wins together then end up drawing to someone shit. Also, Benzema is basically bailing them out in most games they win.

If you swapped Benzema and Firmino we'd be about five points off City and Real Madrid would be playing in the Europa League.

That doesn't sound like an enormous penance.

You're sounding a bit like a Colin Firth film.

We're currently living with her parents as we get some things done on our new house. So...it's not quite as easy as it seems!

Will there at least be an opportunity for you to watch the game, while someone back-handedly pours cider from a ridiculous height - as, in the background, an attractive Iberian women clacking her heels dancing in characteristic style thrusts her head backward in a fashion making her appear to be sniffing her own back side?

i think we can get to the final  where we will meet city and send them home in tears

If we play City in the Final - a million miles away at the moment, of course - City will be disappointed.

Oil doesn't buy everything.

And yachtsmen get lucky at times.

And even a shit Liverpool will scare the shit out of them in a Final.

It seems unlikely as no-one with 700 miles of here drinks cider.

Trying to imagine my missus' reaction if I told her to get dolled up and do a dance while I watch the football.

We could beat them, but we never do revenge well. Is like there is no anger in this team

No, we don't do revenge well.

But when you've won 6 European Cups, perhaps revenge ain't the the motivation.

Just winning yet another one might be enough.
