There is no fucking way on earth that Nat Phillips is getting paid more than 10k a week under this ownership.

The other side to that is players who sign big 5 year deals, then expect them to be renewed with 2 years remaining.

Whatever is happening with Henderson, the optics of this aren't good. Gini spoke about problems behind the scenes, and it sounds like we are trying to do the same as we did with him with Henderson. We have got around 9 to 10 players with only 2 years or less left on their contract and they are going to start getting pissed off if they feel that we won't offer them what they want.

Its all very well allowing players to leave at the end of their contract like we did with Gini and Can but eventually you are going to end up with a team full of pissed off players that are not going to be fully committed.

Can and Gini were committed to the very end, so why not hendo et al.  They're professionals and have contracts.

Henderson is a funny one. He's the club captain so being amongst our top earners should come with that seniority but he's now on the decline and injured persistently. I think his influence as club captain both on and off the pitch will be taken into account, whether that's enough to be given a massive contract is certainly up for debate.

I really don't mind the club's stance on this. Professionals sign contracts and should be willing to see them out, acting in a suitable manner.

I sincerely doubt Henderson is going to start giving Klopp the stink eye.

This was generally considered the norm though. Clubs would normally try and cash in at this point if the player wasn't prepared to sign a new deal.

I'm sure he will, he will also want to prove that he is worth a big contract somewhere else.

Where it came from has literally nothing to do with the post.

And you can tell from the link where it came from, so to click on it would make you as stupid as those who read it.

If you didn't click on it, then stop moaning about nothing.

Not sure a Liverpool fan forum is the best place to post links that credit The Rag as it’s source for the story. I’d take a million baseless Twitter rumours over either of those papers anyway, The Star isn’t much better.

Fair enough. It's a habit of mine to credit the source directly, but perhaps there was no need to paste the link or even the source.

The point of the share was the joke. I know you know that, but it just goes to show what people choose to focus their energy on.

Mods, feel free to edit or remove.

As it happens Simon is flying off to New York soon to shoot a trailer for a TV series he wrote. I'm fucking made up and proud of him.

I just wonder if this trailer will be a smokescream for something else.

Loan, with option to buy. Shit you not.

Fucking stupidity

He's likely told the club he won't sign anywhere else. Surely its obligation to buy, not fucking option. Porto will just play paupers again otherwise and say he's only got 12 months on his deal.

It would make u a better man if u admitted your mistake than calling others out.

Edit: just saw u did but u can do so without taking a pop again. Not everyone knows every source and all.

Decent.

Now if we get the mooted 15 million from Brighton for Big Nat then we're almost at a profit!

Decent fee for a fella that has never pulled on a shirt for us. Anyone know what we paid for him? Assume his loan fees have more than paid for his time here.

Sources claim Takumi Minamino is likely to remain at the club this season.

It is unlikely that Henderson would be allowed to leave this summer, or indeed that he would even ask to. Sources insist there is still a dialogue in place with Liverpool, with further talks anticipated over a new deal for the midfielder.

Hopefully Wilson and Origi will add another c.£25m to that soon.
