Chelsea have been in negotiations to sell Giroud, his contract would have ended last month and they would have forced to sell him on a free. Instead they made him sign a year extension and now selling him for 2million. Why would he forsake a signing on fee unless Chelsea made him some back handed payments.

I don't think that can be correct - thought when Suarez joined he became there top earner at 275k

When your replacing a player of the quality and experience of Wijnaldum, of all the names linked with us (Bissouma / Neuhaus / Gravenberch / Sanches) then Saul definitely fits the bill best, IMO.

I wouldn't mind Edwards job. Chill out most of the year do a bit of work every other summer or so. Having a manager who is fairly at ease with just improving the players and side he already has.

Italy play a very similar style to us with the high pressing game, so he's hardly likely to struggle adapting.

This is perfect. Very tenuous. He goes on the "list." Insigne however does not, that is ridiculous, not tenuous.
