I'd love for us to be in for someone like Halaand and it not be some far fetched fantasy but a genuinely realistic move.

Would you not think VVD was that player? And Alison?

I’ll make a realistic transfer prediction now, before August The Echo will run a story about how our most important new arrival of the summer will be the returning fans and how they give us an edge on the opposition.

Most likely Milner covers for Trent, especially if we do get another midfielder in.

Otherwise, a player from the u23s

No chance its Gomez. We've evolved loads since he was used there.

The nightmare scenario is where we have to play Hendo or Fabinho there

Or no need to replace Gini as young Curtis will fill the role saving millions another FSG moneyball masterstroke etc

I can’t get upset about the thought of losing Neco Williams. He had a couple of decent league cup games initially, but I think he’s been a serious weak link in few games he played last season.

The 2 away games against Brighton, he was really poor. Really poor at Lincoln as well.

Maybe he’s just not kicked on as would hoped?

Did you say that when Trent replaced Clyne?

Some fans writing off Neco at this point is fucking nuts. Expecting a young lad to come in once every few months and just turn it on is crazy. Many experienced pros find it hard with no rhythm to perform. He may not prove good enough but judging a lad just turned 20 on the back of 4 or 5 starts is absolute bollocks. If we weren't desperate to find cash for transfers yiu loan the lad out. But the penny pinching means you sell

No, there is no need to replace Gini because that's Thiago. There is no need to bring another midfielder in as we have Curtis Jones.

It isn't proof to 'moneyball'. Its recognising how good Jones is.

True. But the reports (which we are all basing this on) were clear it is his decision. We won't loan him though. May as well swap him for Boyle i guess.

Although true, we don’t see him train every day. I’m sure if Klopp had more trust in him, we’d have seen him more often.

He did play a reasonable amount before Xmas - thinking about, I can only remember bad performances.

Come on, he'll never make it here. It's so obvious.

There's usually a small window where our youngsters are still highly rated, but before they've been seen - and exposed - much in top flight action; that's the time to sell. Once in a while a Trent or Jones will come along, but Williams - though promising - isn't really up there.

He's a full international, and needs games. £10m would leave everyone happy.

Obvious on 600 odd minutes of which tbe vast majority have been in second string teams or the odd 10 mins off the bench. He's just turned 20 most defenders are miles off at that age.

    • Ok I never wanted to post this but seeing as so many of us are arguing with each other, we're now on the subject of vaccination deaths, and over the last few months things have escalated to people being fine with mandatory vaccines I'm going to.   I would never have posted this before for two reasons : I didn't want to cause fear about vaccines if the data was off, and I didn't have access to the underlying data. And I still don't, but recently a fact checking site which I'm going to assume some of you would consider reliable has confirmed the figures, even though it's been clear to point out that the cause of these deaths isn't clear.   So this fact checking site also provides balance for those of you that think I'm fear mongering.   The subject is child deaths since the vaccine was rolled out. Here's the article that made me concerned a while back : Deaths among male Children are 83% higher than the 5-year-average since they were given the Covid-19 Vaccine   Now if you can simply look at the data there it points to something that should be a concern. If you read all the text it's clearly blaming the vaccines, but if you want you can simply ignore every bit of text and look at the data provided in the images.   And here's the fact checking article : No evidence linking deaths among children to vaccine rollout   Here's the two quotes confirming the data :       Why didn't I look at the data myself? Simply because when checking the ONS site and trying to access it I get asked to open an .xlsx file (Microsoft Excel) and I can't open it. I figured that if this was really a concern others would post this later on anyway and I'd see it again, which I have done several times since. I never had anyone else confirming the data though.   The last thing that still stopped me posting it was this thought : what about kids that died from covid last year?   Then I found this :     Child mortality in England during the COVID-19 pandemic   And there's also this from the ONS where we do actually have some numbers posted because it's a response to an FOI request : How many children died from long Covid-19 in the UK
    • The Ballon D’or is a glorified piss up for all the UEFA free loaders and cronies, so it’s hardly surprising the results are flawed, if you’re not in the click you don’t stand a chance and, to be fair, Messi and Ronaldo have been standout players over the last 10 years, so no wonder they just keep giving it to either of them. Easy option.
