The Philips contract is only problematic because they announced it today. Can't understand for the life of my why they would do that and why they would subject him to the unwarranted abuse that's probably coming his way.

Why not announce it tomorrow, or next week, rather than incur the ire of the fans by simply rubbing it in their faces that we didn't sign anyone?

On the face of it, it seems we've given him a just reward for his performances last season when he would have been on absolutely fuck all. Performances that we owe our participation in the European Cup to, in part.

It's also problematic if you believed that selling him for £10m or whatever would have opened the door to an exciting new signing in this window. It clearly wouldn't. It just would've paid for a 6 months of wages for one of the contracts we've just extended.

So basically, get the fuck over it.

I can imagine driving an open-topped Lamborghini down Route 66 while Katy Perry licks my balls as her generous bosoms slip out of an ill-fitting dress. I can imagine a series of Michelin standard chefs bringing me course after course of marvellous dishes as I feast like a king watching the sun go down over Santorini. I can imagine sashaying through my 17 bedroom mansion in silk pyjamas while ornamental lions spit fire at my every step. However I cannot imagine the tight-fisted bastards who own this football club putting their hands in their pockets and shelling out for a world-class forward on transfer deadline day.

I like your style...

We needed an exciting, attacking, fancy-dan, jimmy-big-bollocks who would have provided an enormous amount of excitement and momentum and a shed load of goals and chances.

We deserve it for not being able to properly celebrate our incredible title win and also, as I am tired of saying the motherfucking stock market has been on fire for the past 18 months and if you seriously believe that old John H Henry and his gang haven't made yet another fortune during this black swan event then you are sorely and surely mistaken.

Any business needs ongoing investment. Merely paying your existing staff and keeping things ticking over is not enough. You constantly need fresh ideas and fresh talent coming through and this is exacerbated in the sports industry, due to its incredibly competitive nature and heavy investment from rival teams. Some of your incoming personnel you will garner from internal recruitment and some will be sourced from outside - TAA and VVD is an example of this.

There is no debate, our owners are fucking around and not putting in what they should. Personally I think Klopp could and should apply more pressure to them in this area because he is most certainly allowed to ask for a new significant signing, when a world class midfielder like Gini leaves due to contract negotiations breakdown. That's FSG fucking up and leaves Klopp with less resources.

Feel free to disagree FSG lovers. I can't personally see how you are happy about this transfer window.

edit:

Or the last one, or the one before that.

7th loan since he's been at Liverpool. What is the point.

Sheyi Ojo completes loan move to Millwall Sheyi Ojo has completed a season-long loan move to Millwall.

The Liverpool forward will spend the 2021-22 campaign with Gary Rowett’s team in the Championship after finalising a temporary switch on transfer deadline day.

Ojo, who joined the Reds in 2011, has made 13 first-team appearances for the club and opened his goalscoring account with an Anfield strike against Exeter City in a 2016 FA Cup tie.

The versatile attacker was also part of the England squad that lifted the FIFA U20 World Cup in the summer of 2017. He has previously completed loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims, Rangers and, most recently, Cardiff City
