Shaqiri is brilliant, virtually every time he stepped on the pitch for us he’s done something special. Wand of a left foot, cracking touch and seems like a great fella. Would be very sad to see him go.

After the pre season and the reemergence of Keita and Ox and the versatility of Elliott's brilliance, am surprised Jurgen needs to sign another midfielder.  He clearly doesn't trust the fitness or form of the above.

 

Sanches makes sense in terms of replacing Gini's industry and drive from midfield, but with more creativity.  Left footed with a wicked shot on him too.

I like Sanches, especially for the fact that he's rebuilt his career, and he's an incredibly dynamic midfielder, but his injuries are really concerning. Probably too concerning. The idea of him is maybe better than the reality.

It appears to me that Sanches veers between outstanding and appalling like no other. Perhaps that's injury related, I don't know...

Has anyone on here watched Doku properly, I'm only reading others opinions saying he's got a headless chicken vibe, all the physical athletic attributes in the world but no real end product. Sounds like Origi, now if its a small fee you take that chance on potential but I'm seeing 50 million quid mentioned that's a massive chunk of budget for Origi mark 2. Are people wrong is there so much more to him than that, is that figure mentioned still over priced, is the budget if it exists better used elsewhere.

Comin along quite nicely so far, although I think I may have grossly underestimated the quantity of Echo save us millions articles and Anubis is letting the side down with the January transfer thread.
