If we sign both a midfielder and forward, does one of them absolutely need to be homegrown? Because that would make guessing who we might actually want easier.

As it stands they would both have to be.  Unless of course we move on some non-homegrown players.

Have to have played in Either England or Wales for 3 years before the age of 21.

We would need to move on 2 from Origi, Minamino or Shaqiri.

 

It makes the decision to give Adrian a new contract even more baffling. We should have just signed a homegrown player for the third choice GK spot.

If the incoming players are U21 I don't think it matters where they come from, although that obviously changes when they are over 21.
