Whilst I appreciate that we need to be sustainable there are a lot of clubs struggling right now and some good players seemingly can be had for a lower fee than normal (seen locatelli being offered for 30m for example) so now would be an ideal time to add some quality to the squad.

I'd rather bring in another Jota-level forward now (to replace Origi) than wait a year or two for our whole front line to need replacing.

Would you? I think it’s an interesting one.

Jota is obviously really good, and the ideal back up player to the front three, but I don’t think he’s ever going to be a top 10 player in the world like Mo and Sadio.

If the choice was 40 million now to upgrade on Origi, or 100 million on a more proven world level superstar in two years time instead, what would you do?

Mane and Salah were not superstars when we signed them. Not that I'm against signing an established world class forward, like.

Jury's out a little bit for me on how good Jota can be. Last season he went from reminding me of peak Robbie Fowler to being absolutely anonymous. Usually seems to be more effective from the bench too. Still, last season wasn't the best to judge any new Liverpool player on. He clearly has the quality, but needs to show it consistently.

Yeah I know, ideally we get someone now in the 21-23 type age bracket who turns out as good as them and can seamlessly replace them in a few years time.

Brighton absolutely love massive grock centre backs. They were playing one at left wing back last season. Nat fits the ball on the defensive side, not sure he passes the ball well enough for Potter, but he was certainly improving that part of his game last season, especially the short stuff.

Really hope we're the other team in for Camavinga. From what I've seen from youtube and Stacksy's posts he is everything we need in a midfielder.

Jota is exactly what we needed him to be when we bought him. A squad player who is good enough to start without noticeable decline in the forward line. There’s space for even more upside than that which makes him well worth his place IMO. Another one of those for central or right side and we’ll be well stocked.

Jota is a better finisher than Salah and Mane. He was on fire before he got injured. Not saying he is better overall of course.

Nah, he isn't. He's the same type of streaky finisher as they are. He usually needs loads of chances, but he gets in the right positions often.
