Maybe sign him, sell him for the same price to RBL but with a buy back clause.

If he is shit, then it cost us nothing, if he gets games and pushes on, then we get the benefit in a couple of years without his mistakes being here.

Easy.

But with a 20% sell on fee so we can buy him back at a cheaper rate than we sold him for without them realising!

Neves being touted around apparently. Not sure if his lack of pace would be a fatal flaw for us, probably. Good player though. Not quite the player I thought he'd be, but the expectations on him at 17 were a bit OTT.

Yeah, I’ve always said his lack of pace (and it’s a severe lack of pace) would be massive for a Klopp team. Maybe a Rafa team, with a Mascherano type beside him. Not for us though.

Hasn’t really kicked on this season has he? Yeah probably not one of my top 3 calls ever.

Fickle Freddie over here. I stuck with my David Nugent and Lee Cattermole shouts to the bitter end during the bleak days of Hodgson.

While this Konate lad is a big, fast unit, I'm really not sure why we're spending any money, let alone £40 mill, on a certified sicknote again, especially after a season where our physio room wouldn't look out of place in the Crimean War.

It seems we learnt nothing from signing the Ox.

Pure gamble on potential and physical traits.

Is he Certified?

For that money you would expect that.

We can't afford £30 million gambles though. I get the logic in the move to some extent but I don't see how he doesn't get injured constantly given his record. Even Matip was reliable in Germany.

The club must feel like many of Konte issues have been to do with him still growing. Anyone my age and older will remember Gerrard having some issues at the same age, though he didn't miss anywhere near as many games.

All very well saying don't sign players with a previous history of injuries, but we've signed an awful lot of players down the years who became sicknotes AFTER joining us. At their previous clubs they were ever-presents but they ended up being a disappointment at Liverpool because they weren't available often enough to become consistent and better.

One of them reverse psychology type situations.

I like it.

The way I see it is the PL is a far more physical league than virtually any other, the games come thick and fast plus, it seems our training regime is tough on players.

Players who might have breezed though what league they've played in before find the PL somewhat of a challenge fitness wise. Players will always get injured, it's just the natural order.
