That's your 6 right there with 2 of those being on low enough wages. We simply need that number because our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice CBs are all likely to pick niggling injuries due to being out for so long with serious injuries.

I reckon we'll loan Williams so we can sell him next year. Having kabak in there means they don't need to buy a Gini replacement as they'll bank on fabinho playing midfield and they'll use Gomez as right back cover when we sell Neco.

I've not seen any of him this season so don't know how he's getting on but he did enough for us to suggest he can be a decent player in a top league. If he would have been happy with it I think we should have signed him and then sent him on loan for a couple of seasons. He'd then either be good enough for our squad or to be sold for a good profit.

We could have kept him for a small-ish fee and have him fight it out with Phillips for the 4th spot. That would have been the cheap option. It would have been acceptable but Konate looks like a top prospect though, so... Better than Kabak, more physical gifts.
