Just watched his interview and it's just a real feel good story. He looks like he's in a daze about it all, which is as you'd expect as it's been a whirlwind.

I've got a good feeling about this. Feels old school, we used to do this kind of thing all the time.

If there's anyone in any doubt we signed Ben Davies as backup to Williams and Phillips and we saw the lad as nothing but an opportunity to buy for nothing and sell for a few million in the summer, you only needed to look at our bench today. I am genuinely surprise he isn't better than those two or perhaps we can't be bothered to get him into our system for half a season, but honestly..... Imagine being behind Rhys Williams. Our ambition as a club reflected in this signing. Winning might be good, but nothing beats profit.

Again, he was pictured training before the game and yet again he doesnt make even make the bench.

It increasingly seems Klopp doesn't fancy this Davies fella. It's a pity because it would have made for a great story (and more points) if the guy had turned out to be brilliant.

Considering what we lose in midfield with Fabinho at the back he may as well get a game.

I think it's a bit soon, he's had the biggest step up out of any of them. Sounds like a few injury complaints with the rise in intensity and he's not got the quality to demand forcing the issue.

Would be good to see him on the bench though. If he does end up leaving immediately, nevermind.

Physically he looks pretty weak. No muscles on him. Guessing Klopp and Klopp 2 (the one that looks like Klopp) have put him on some heavy muscle building regime, and it will take some time until we'll see him in action.

For Celtic next season

It is looking more and more curious as a signing. He's made the bench a couple of times but Klopp is still opting to use midfielders at the back. It could be that he needs to acclimatise to Klopp's demands in training. It could be that he's been signed to flip in the summer for a few million. To me it's looking more and more likely that he's been signed to fill the homegrown quota in place of Gomez for this season.
