Phillips did really well, he was taking his position off Henderson and stayed regimented, winning headers and not lunging in.

Allison deserves some credit too. He was always alert to Antonio trying to run off the back of Phillips, and swept up accordingly.

Alisson is just phenomenal. Anything that's played in behind that isn't perfect to the milimetre, he cuts it out.

@Caramac might be in for a busy night.

Have you got that moment where Ali comes steaming out of his area to take a long ball aimed at Antonio and, instead of hoofing it into the top tier, he calmly controlled it and played a pass?

A bit disjointed in the first half, mainly because it was almost a scratch XI out there. In the second, we did what we are capable of and scored 3 great goals. That's what I want to see from us, purpose and intensity allied to goal threat. On top of that, a few clean sheets would be a bonus.

Great win with some excellent performances.

He's certainly not the answer to our cb problems but Nat Phillips is head and shoulders a better player at this moment in time than young Reece Williams.

Absolutely, not even a question.

So we've been on a dreadful run for the past month or so and Man U have apparently had a wonderful season and yet we are only 1pt behind.

It's all about standards and expectations. We're one of the best sides in world football and managed by one of the best managers in world football. Man U are little more than a one man side plying their trade in the Europa League and managed by someone who once scored a big goal for them. Hence, more is expected from us than them.

Don't fight it, embrace it.

Keep proving me wrong reds. Must admit I thought we would be lucky to get a draw but we were superb second half. Phillips did well. Its a shame he hasn't more pace because he is superb in the air.

Jones was boss when he came on too, much more confident on the ball than at Christmas. Hanging in there considering. lets not let ourselves down against crappy Brighton.

Great week in two tough games. If we can win our next two games, it's down to four points and you never know maybe Burnley can do us a favour during the week.

The best thing is Bobby got a rest and Sadio doesn't seem to be serious. Fabinho back for City. The midfield was great today. Nat might not be Liverpool class, but he's a great lad who has done well.

Would be nice if we get a bit of luck with injuries and Matip is back soon. Jota will be a difference in a lot of games once he is back.

Wasn't mentioned by either commentator but Souak kicked Henderson in the head, you usually get booked for that. Rice cleaned out Thiago after the ball was gone, both should have been sent off.

Yep. Same fat cunt ref, Moss, who red carded Sadio at city so he has no excuse except he's another bent bastard.

I don't, but something usually shows up sooner or later. I'll post it up if it does.

The KUMB match thread:

First twenty pages are Hammers fans basically saying “Yeah, Liverpool are shit and we’re gonna fuck their shit up.”

Last ten pages are “Yeah, but Liverpool are better than us man for man so we forget about it and move on.”
