Gloria De Piero, a former Labour Party MP who served in Jeremy Corbyn's shadow cabinet, has her own show on GB News.

Interested to hear what spurious grounds will be used to deny her as a left-winger.

Same reason I used to get up early to watch Zora Suleman present the news on the big breakfast. Some things transcend politics. Political left tit, political right tit, we are all centrist.

Is this the first time that you've heard anyone express the view that Galloway used to be a decent left-winger but has turned into a self-aggrandizing ridiculous mouthy gobshite?  (He is, after all, the only ex-lefty that anyone here is denying.)

Not sure being part of Corbyn's shadow cabinet is proof of being left wing. He wasn't exactly spoilt for choice with people on the left in the party. It had been gutted of everyone on the left over the previous 10-15 years.

She did, after all, support that like Owen Smith gimp.

As I said, you'll find plenty of support for him, even today, among the self-proclaimed left. Searching back on here for a comment I made about him during the Batley and Spen by-election, I actually said then that I wouldn't consider him a leftist anymore, in response to others on that thread (Starmer's?) that I felt still believed he was.

But that's irrelevant. Surely no-one would dispute that he was widely considered a leftist when he got his show on RT, in 2013. Or even before then, when he worked on Press TV in 2009, or for the Assad-backed Al Mayadeen TV in 2012.

I don't know where he is politically now.

Obviously in the past he was on the left but he seems to have turned into a bit of a crackpot.

My badly worded point was that, thanks to gb news,in particular, the populist right have a vert loud and powerful voice (my time line is full of these mentalists ranting about woke banks, cultural Marxism or some shit)

There is simply not equivalent on for the left.

Fair enough.

Fairly sure I never said Galloway had never been left wing,I said he had recently turned into a crackpot but its not like  you to twist things.

Right, left, somewhere in-between, none of the cunts should have their own news show or even a second job of any kind.

Never once have I ever gone into the voting booth and noticed any candidate seeking my vote for a part time member of parliament role, not have I noticed any accepting a pro-rata salary.

Depends how you define "left", I suppose; she was Labour, but not the left wing of the party. Corbyn's first shadow cabinet tried to represent different wings of the party, until the Chicken Coup fucked it up.

The Express having how inflation works explained to them

Reminiscent of the arguments on here about the deficit...."If you've halved the deficit why does the debt keep going up" and all that.

Those therapy sessions would be quality.

"He told me he could get me tickets for the Sugababes reunion, next thing I know there's a kazoo up my ass and I'm farting Dixieland."

"And that upset you."

"No it was a laugh a minute."
