It’s funny watching Nigel’s winged monkeys get triggered by Led By Donkeys.

Is Neil back yet, or still holed up in his French villla?

Holed up in his villa with his trotters up writing snide articles for the daily cunt sniping at Sturgeon to deflect from Johnson’s midweek coal fuck up

He's still at home in bed, couldn't handle the graft seemingly. Always be wary of a wealthy journalist. The best ones like Pilger are living out the back of a Volvo, ones who have homes in the south of France should be a red flag.

Amazed Morgan hasn't turned up at GB News, be surprised if some negotiations aren't afoot for him to 'save' the channel, for high levels of compensation obviously.

Far too much of a quilt for the abuse he’d get if he went on that I reckon

Was gutted to hear Kirsty Gallagher went there.

Obviously was queuing up for seconds of tits when god was giving out brains.

Nobody is an idiot who went there. They will have been warned by their agents and friends/family. They do not deserve the excuse of a dumb mistake.

It will be a calculated decision by a person/people who at best don’t care for people less fortunate then themselves and at worst are right wing racist/xenophobes. Gallagher, and all of them, know EXACTLY what they were dealing with with they signed up.

I can’t argue with a word of that.

I’d have liked to fuck her though, compared to Neil or Farage who I’d like to fucking kill.

He should consider cutting back on carbs instead.

From the Giardian.

Quote

Andrew Neil has resigned as lead presenter and chairman of GB News following differences in the direction of the rightwing channel.

The ex-BBC host was the face of GB News before it went on air in June but has left after presenting just eight programmes. He was unhappy with technical mistakes, the loss of key staff and its political direction.

Neil was outmanoeuvred by the former Ukip leader Nigel Farage, who is now the face of the channel, along with a number of more stridently rightwing hires who lean into culture war issues.

Called this from word go, the British aren't really right wing, they just like acting up, like naughty kids, if the hard right became mainstream, the man in the street would move left. It's how we roll.

We like Carry On films but not porn,  mainstream TV, even these days, is marked by its absence of overt sex and vulgarity.

That's why ukip and farage gained ground where Nick Griffin and the BNP couldn't. We can handle the polite, nudge nudge wink wink of racism, but  not in the face.

Genuinely never watched it. Is it really that hateful?

I've seen bits of it and Farage actually has a programme on there, and I think the general tone is more Farage than it is Griffin.

I think the reason it hasn't taken off is because most people want to think their views are "normal". If it's in the Times or on the BBC (or insert other mainstream news programme or newspaper) then it must be acceptable. Once it gets moved to something called "GB News" a slight alarm bell goes off, even with Mondeo man.

I'm not convinced the British are naturally anything politically really. The UK has probably the worst media in Western Europe, and a government that reflects as much. If you gave it Finland or Portugal's media they'd vote very differently. They'd vote like people in Finland and Portugal do.

The main reason it has flopped is because it's a new entry on an old medium. My Daily Express-reading father-in-law is the target for this kind of thing, but the only time he will switch away from ITV is for football. I can never get my head around how a programme that gets a couple of million viewers on BBC2 can soar to a multiple of that by switching to BBC1. Were the new viewers for the programme that made the switch completely incapable of finding the '2' on their remote? Obviously not, they will just watch whatever happens to be on their preferred station. The button for GB News might as well be located on the moon for all the effort its target demographic are going to put in to look for it. Another way of looking at it is how a publication like the Daily Express can still endure. Someone could put out a 'better' version of it but no-one would buy it because the demographic it is aimed at are set in their ways.
