The full extended versions of LOTR are unbelievably epic and the score from Howard Shore is in my opinion, the best of all time. They could've made a movie or of every chapter of the books. Here's hoping the second age series by amazon will be properly done.

Never said it was, in fact I said in my first post in the thread that LOTR is a fantastic, but to compare the score to Morricone's is outrageous.

It’s great. But nothing in the LotR soundtrack matches the elegant simplicity of a score wrapped around a pocket watch tune, that so perfectly fits the ending of For A Few Dollars More. Beautiful. Elegant. Simple. And compliments what is happening onscreen superbly.
