Met him at Lewdown cricket club once. Seemed like a massive one.

Specialised predominantly in racist jokes, I believe. A sad loss to the comedic world.

There was a video of him getting passed around work years back. I watched about 10 minutes of it. Shite.

Riding a pushbike down a cobbled street with piles would be funnier than him.

Not a great week if you're a performer who dresses like a West Country bumpkin.

The drummer of the British band the Wurzels has died in hospital after contracting Covid-19 while on tour.

Somerset musician John Morgan, originally from Lydney, Gloucestershire, became ill with coronavirus after the Wurzels played at Manchester Academy earlier this month and died at the age of 80 on Friday in Gloucester Royal hospital, surrounded by his family.

The band’s manager said he was the “oldest drummer in captivity” and had been performing with them for more than 40 years, from 1981 until two weeks ago.

I've had Desmond Tutu ony list for years but it's so late in the year now I don't know if it's worth replacing him. I can't think of anyone close enough to circling the drain at the moment.

It's become more of an obituaries column that a contest this year, I don't know if I'll bother next year.

Each year that passes means we could be part of own lists.

It's amazing how having knowledge that could put important people in bother is often accompanied by overwhelming suicidal tendencies.

It's a phenomenon.

Death frequency in such circumstances merely a statistical outlier mate.
