A sad day and a great loss to the country and to this countries political landscape - a woman who championed what should be right for society and the common working class and in politics, a terrier towards the extreme left and one who despised the right.

A sad loss whether people realise it or not and a person who, if we are to have 2 minutes silence and reschedule events, would have been fitting for her.

RIP Shirley Williams

More deserving than the cunt Thatcher,or Phil the Greek,at least.

Helen McCrory, Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders has died aged 52.

Edit,  just noticed the Peaky Blinders thread.

As an aside, my auto correct changed Peaky Blinders to Pesky Blunders.

What the fuck....

Anyone have Walter Mondale or Jim Steinman?

Apollo 11 Astronaut Michael Collins has died aged 90.

Sad news.

Yes that is sad, brave man. Imagine what it was like on your own orbiting the moon while the other two landed.

A very brave man, they all were. Heroes of mine the Apollo Astronauts.

Collins had to contemplate leaving Armstrong and Aldrin behind should anything go wrong and make the journey back alone.

Like I said, heroes.
