I thought the first 2 BHC were decent but nowt special.

Rewatching the first Mad Max is sobering by just how terribly it's dated. The 2nd one was really good though but the 3rd one, Thunderdome was absolutely shit. However, Fury Road was fantastic and is the clincher for me for a "franchise" that's absolutely all over the shop.

Well, the Road Warrior (MM2) is the first proper Mad Max. People tend to forget that it launched the entire post-apocalyptic sub-genre and gave it a lot of its imagery. It owes a lot to I Am Legend  obviously, and it was to a great extent inspired by a Belgiun comic book Jeremiah, but it was essentially the big daddy of the post-apocalypse. BHC I remember as a mildly entertaining cop comedy.

And Eddie Murphy's best film is 48 Hours.

Nah, his best film is Trading Places.

Beverly Hills Cop is a comedy, comedies are movies for people with no real sense of humor.

Comedies should never win anything.

I never thought you would outdo your work in the music tournaments but this is incredible stuff.

Bravo.

I always felt like Mad Max left me a bit empty. Expected a lot more than what I got. Only watched 1 & 2 and always late at night when I've probably not been as arsed to watch it.

Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2 are good, 3 less so.

Judge Reinhold edges it.

Bingo, bango, sugar in the gas tank!

Exactly how i felt about Mad Max. I remember when i was a kid and people used to go on about the first two being really violent and i just thought "meh" when i watched them both.
