It makes sense to add an extra midfielder. Playing an extra forward hasn't really done shit for us. We'll at least have a more solid base and the forwards can concentrate on scoring.

Other than Mane, this isn't even rotation. Matip was never going to play with 3 games in a week.

Apart from having to play a midfielder and a kid who is league 1 standard at the heart of our defence as the centre half pairing it is not that bad a team and only missing what two first XI starters.

 

The other glaring issue is the lack of capable forward cover and that of course is down to injury as well...giving up on trying to force a square peg into a round hole in a front 3 might actually be a good idea (if of course this is that, just hope it isn't Jones forced into there)

 

Sadly the centre half problem exists regardless of rotation.

We couldn't score in a brothel.

We couldn't score the underside of a delicious belly pork.

Who "knows the score". Not us that's for damn sure. 

If we were trying to make a big score in a heist movie we'd set off all the alarms, fall from that hanging rope thing and shit ourselves. 

Drug users often want to score some drugs. If we were in such a predicament we would be unable to do so. 

 

Also we aren't scoring many goals. 

 

Seriously though I hope we score at least one. Just fucking one.

The only place milner is of any use is YouTube.  Should have retired long ago but usual story with this club of late, kept far too long.
