Updates from presser....

Klopp on Matip/Jota: "So first, Joel is in full training and we make a decision. Trained normal.

"Diogo is a few weeks away. Will not be next one or two. He needs time. How much I miss him is not important. I am not allowed to miss him. He is not there and we deal with it."

No mention of Keita i could see (maybe Klopp has finally just given up)

Matip and Phillips in the centre of defence would be a good match-up for this game and allow us to have a go at a fully functioning midfield again. Would actually be a welcome dilemma choosing three from Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Thiago and Jones.

Fabinho will be playing CB until Van Dijk returns, unfortunately I think we just have to get used to it.

I get playing him at CB for playing top sides - but mid table / relegation sides at home do we need him there ? It would seem the perfect game to throw Philips in for his height to deal with set pieces and would help make our midfield awesome again.

I would have him in the midfield if it was up to me, Klopp has had him there for months against every sort of team though. Can't see him suddenly changing it for Burnley or anyone else.

And he might still play there when Virgil is back.

Think Bobby's form has nosedived since his baptism.

Maybe he hadn't read Leviticus where it says " and the lord did say, stick in the back of the net you fucking beaut."

Verily I say unto thee , put thou laces through it.

I'd have you in the team tomorrow for a bit of bite.

Only if she can play centre half.

Otherwise its a bench job i'm afraid.

Even at the best of times, this lot are a bunch of stubborn awkward cunts and see last seasons game at home to

gauge on how this lot will play and perform tomorrow.

Trying to find a word to sum my feelings up for tomorrows game and tragically, Dread, is the word that keeps springing to mind.

After the farcical player about 25 yards offside winning a ball and setting up a goal tonight for the cheats, i reckon it is odds on we will have what would have been a winner ruled out for an offside about 3 passes before goal that is the width of a boot lace measured by a wobbly line.

The offside scene in STAR VARS.

Blue wins.

    • We didn't play very well last night, in my opinion.
    • One of them pushed Mane over last night & then another one booted the ball into his coupon & nobody looked remotely arsed. They don't care about the opposition ending their mate's season & they don't care that they are being bullied all over the park at home to Chelsea.   How much are these cunts getting paid for this?
    • It is a ridiculous level of stubborness/is a real blind spot.   If you don't (as we don't right now) have the personnel to make your preferred way of playing work, then you have to change and adapt and find a way that works with what you have.   10 pts from 11 games in 2021.   No goal from open play in over 10 hrs at home.   5 home losses on bounce...   Yet still we come out each game set up same and seemingly hoping it will somehow work, despite it clearly not.   Square pegs being asked to fit into round holes and zero tactical or structural change....that is poor, really poor.   Surely you have to hold hands up and say 'this isn't working' lets do something different.
    • Wasnt the best man management dropping Williams after a clean sheet. Id put Fabinho in midfield as currently both defence and midfield is broken- at least fix one.   To labour the point, its as if Klopp has convinced himself we arent losing these matches when Fabinho plays there? Like its a safe bet. Its all very bizarre
    • He's right about them being meek and showing no fight though.   The 'they are the champions' shout only holds up for so long.   Its like a fighter winning the world title and then curling up in a ball in his first defence as his opponent twats him all over the place and rips his title from him 'he won the world title' as a shout means nothing at that point really.   That’s the most annoying thing of the whole game for me last night. Yes the subs were a joke, the way the team was set up was a joke, the players feeling sorry for themselves is a joke, but to stand there and do nothing when someone blasts the ball at your teammates head is pathetic and shows a lack of balls, a lack of desire, fight and passion.
