Must have kitchen appliances...

Lockdown boredom has led us to buying all kinds of shite online. Kitchen-wise our two new best buys were a Ninja Dual air fryer which means I barely use the oven or hob now and a decent vegetable / fruit spiraliser with a handle ( not the smaller manual ones that give you a right forearm like a teenage lad).

With reference to earlier posts I agree with Rick that there is nothing better than a ham and cheese toastie and a cheap maker is just fine , and to Stronts , we bought an omelette maker from Dunelm but it was hard to get the omelette how we liked them inside or out and it is in the bottom of a cupboard now.

When I didn’t have a dishwasher I was desperate for one. Have had one now for about 10 years and I must be bored of it because i’ve found myself washing dishes more and more.

Hope you all enjoyed that story.

Ha. Even putting dishes in a dishwasher becomes enough of a chore to stop using it.

Dishwashers were invented for lazy fucks. You can actually wash dishes quicker than it takes to load one up.

Irony is they don't actually clean dishes either. They fucking ming too.

What have you made so far?

I’ve kept it pretty simple mostly. Bacon, Sausages, Burgers are really easy.

Cooked the wife a Steak dinner the other week and it did a couple of Ribeye’s perfectly. Same for some pork chops.

Tried homemade chips which were less successful but it actually vastly improves oven chips which I don’t usually like.

Managed a full roast chicken and roast potatoes on Sunday. It will be perfect next time but probably did the pressure part of the cooking for ten minutes too long this time. We live and learn.

Next up will be some blueberry muffins, just because.

Cooks whole chickens perfectly. Main reason I bought. Roasts and all other meats are amazing too.

If you are a meat eater, just buy one.

As my OP said, so many vids on YouTube with recipies an any other ideas you wouldn't have thought of.

Wouldn't mind one of those Foodi Ninja's but they are quite pricey. Anyone have one?

As people have aaid they are great , but I previously had a cheapish Tefal one for about £40 or 50 and it was pretty good . In a way it was actually better than the dual Ninja we have now for the likes of chips as it span round and you didnt have to remember to shake it up.
