No, not a thread about various means of traversing big gaps; I’m on about the change up in a song that breaks away from the usual verse/chorus progression. What are your favourites? I’ll start with two of mine:

 

First off... The voice! The piano! The strings! I can’t even tell you why, but the bridge in this can bring me to tears - and I’m not a soppy get by any means, usually.
