He's class, his close control is phenomenal, never understood why we always seem in a rush to offload.

He's never fit and probably not the best of professionals, because even in the rare instances he's available, he's not been used that often. He gets more benefit of the doubt from supporters than almost anyone, though.

Just not satisfatory that.

Was hoping a few might play themselves into form and get some confidence back, but the same problems that have plagued us last few weeks were on show again and our tortoise paced conference level centre half exposed by a kid.

Klopp has got to really get into these on the training ground over next week ready for the manc rats....and we need to hope to fuck we don't have to watch Williams v Rashford.....

He definately gets less stick than the other sick notes. People have probably more or less forgotten all about him.

The whole game easy as fuck with another reminder why we need a centre back.

Not looking forward to next week.  United won't fuck up like spurs did and will put five past us like they should have if we keep defending as we have been.

We can't play a high line against the scum, it would be suicide.

Henderson is having another absolute shocker here.  Our creativity is basically non existent.

When Vvd is back we should consider benching him, or at least phasing him out. We need his leadership for now, but he really brings nothing in games where we dominate possession.

His will, drive and determination will be sorely missed, his footballing abilities not so much...

Although we need a centre back that's not what's causing our malaise, it's because we can't be arsed.

This is why the second league win is always seen as such a tough ask, players think they've made it and/or start thinking about new deals/moving on. It's the equivalent of when a singer releases a great deput album and then a year later is smacked up in a brothel.

Central defence is an issue but we can't use it as an excuse.

BT Sport wanking over these Villa kids. Our youngsters played Villa off the park at times when we had to field our kids last season, the Villa babies never came close to doing the same.

Villa's kids don't really deserve all that much credit at all really, they did about as well as you could expect them to with the obvious gulf in class, experience etc...sadly though through a sluggish first 45 mins and terrible defending from our conference level centre half we gifted them a bucket load of credit to revel in.

Yeah we dominate games possession and territory, that has still been case even in shite in league lately, but we have developed a nad habit of doing fuck all with it and seem to look like conceding every time a team attacks us....and tonight we even managed to do so to more or less their only attack - an attack that was the result of sloppy play by us at start and just the exposure of the mediocrity and snail pace at centre half.

I don't think we know how to play any other line. I just don't think we have the players to stick to any particular discipline to a high standard. There are mistakes and inexperience that can't be avoided.

Front to back was embarrassed.  The youngsters were physically a match.  Why?

Fucking appalling, low block teams of any age can get close to us.  New ideas needed.

Villa had one real chance as a result of a fuck up by our second choice RB .  No real complain tonight.

The last three league games however showed up our weaknesses . Beat Utd and we will be back on track.

I hope to almighty fuck i am wrong, but at the mo i just can't see how we beat the mancs.

In fact i can't see how we don't get beat - the one thing they do have is a bit of pace and guile in attack and that could cut through us very easily right now.

Hopefully we turn up are on it and our blunt attack finds it way again......and the midfield create more than they did in the first half tonight.

The fernandes rashford/martial link ups are all united are going to need with our high line tactics. The diving penalty king will try it at least 20 times but it only has to come off once. It was OK playing a high line when we were properly penning teams in and they had to defend deep and with everybody. United won't do that and we're not pressing well enough to stop them playing it over and around our defence. Fat head will lap up every lazy looped ball we've been delivering lately.

Need a fast start against them.

No real complaint? That 1st half will be shown on loop in hell to all the Liverpool fans who have the misfortune of heading there when their time on earth is over.
