Southampton are a good side, so three points will be big tonight. I know both Mancs and Spurs won there but still not a place I like to play at. Definitely a great game to have done going into the business end of the season.

 

Will be interesting to see Hendo at centre half. Aside from this being a tough game, I wonder does Jurgen have one eye on seeing how he gets on tonight with a view for the Mancs in two weeks. With midfielders coming back, it could be that Jurgen will go with Hendo as the third centre half when Matip is back. You can't fault Williams and Philips. They have done well and seem like good lads, but the likes of Ings or any one of the Mancs frontline going at them fills me with concern. Hendo has huge nous and experience which they don't have.

That defence is a great leveller against the shite we're coming up against and none of the other fit options make the slightest bit of difference.

Fabinho doesn't count in that. The plan was clearly to have him be legitimate cover in that area.  Henderson? Yeah, not ideal.

Centre-back pairing is mental. We really need to keep hold of the ball well in this game and limit what Saints can do up front. Ings and Walcott would really fancy their chances against Hendo at the back. Great to see Thiago and Ox back, hopefully both can come through unscathed.

For what it's worth, the same source posted yesterday that there has been a medical booked in for this week but doesn't yet know who for. Didn't confirm it was a centre back either.

My source told me it's Ighalo for 20 million.
