Hahahaha I love this shit.

Why?

The convicts, having little creative talent of their own, often try to claim the best of NZ. I'm sure Jose is well aware of this, hence the "Melbourne band" crack.

Crowded House is basically the Neil Finn show, and despite the drummer and bassist (in the bands heyday - Finns son plays drums for them now. The original drummer Paul Hester tragically committed suicide in 2005) being ozzies, is considered a kiwi band. It was born out of the ashes of Split Enz anyway, and you don't get more kiwi than that.

There endeth the lesson.

Founded in Melbourne, two Aussies and one Kiwi.

But mainly I was goading @General Dryness there for sure. He didn’t disappoint.
To be fair we are in the Jimi Hendrix Experience category here, where Neil Finn does all the hard work.

I sat next seat but one to Tim Finn on a flight from Melbourne to Auckland once (reasonably attractive woman known to neither of us in between). Very good shoes.
