Do you think we should sell Keita?

Grim news on Jota.

Elsewhere, Klopp confirmed Jota is still ‘a few weeks away’ from resuming team training due to a knee injury picked up in Denmark against FC Midtjylland on December 9.

The boss explained: “It will still take time, he is still wearing a brace, so that means he is still a few weeks away from team training.

“There is nothing really to say, it takes time. There was no surgery needed, which was good, but it was a proper injury.

“It is not a little knock or something; no, no, and it will still take time. There is no real timeframe there.”

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up needing surgery it’s the Liverpool Way

He seemed confident he'll be back soon. Fact is, Jota could have got crocked in the first 10 minutes of the next game. What concerns me is that yet another yard dog cunt seriously injured one of our players and the refs do fuck all.

I might be wrong here, but wasn't he originally out for 'around 5 weeks'....could have imagined it as see so much stuff though!

I don't remember any time frame being put on his recent injury. with Klopps comments at the time I got the feeling he was a bit pissed off mentioned some kind of muscle issue.

Although theres so many times he's back plays a couple of games and is out again its hard to keep track.

Sorry, pal - i was talking about Jota....which is probably bad form in Keita thread - The Jota stuff was off back of Klopp's update where he spoke about Keita, Jota and Quavers Man Matip.

That midtjylland line up is probably the biggest fuck up since Klopp came here. Obviously the guy has more than earnt the right to the occasional fuck up but damn it seemed so unessecary and in the end proved completely pointless and costly.

I'd sell Keita in a heart beat.

Was it not common consensus at the time that the money awarded for each win in the Champions League was the main factor in naming a strong side (for all the good that did)? More a club issue than Klopp's fault in that case.

Agree with you on Keita. Bizarre that he was the one we were possibly most excited by among all our signings in recent years.

Correct about the CL game. And I just love how some people have taken to calling any game involving Liverpool a 'dead rubber.' Not!

Don't give a fuck what any of the friendly mouthpieces have to say it was fucking stupidity to play any of our first team players in that game. It had no bearing on the group what so ever... Klopp had rightly been banging on about the schedule and demands on players and the one game he had to rest players we did it half arsed.

We could have lost 7-0 and we still finish top, still draw Leipzig but could easily be sitting with 6 more points in the league

Every single team that was already through to the knockouts still played some of their top players in the dead rubbers because of the money to be won, and it's usually always like that. No one essentially sends kids or a team of reserves  to a Champions League group stage game. This whole thing about Klopp making a mistake and being irresponsible ignores that. It just so happened a couple of our players did get injured so now he looks like an idiot.

Other teams have the option for 5 subs and also potential winter break. We were going into our busiest bit of the season without either of those luxuries.

For christ sake, let it go. Jota could easily have got fucking nobled in the first minute of the next game. And even if he hadnt, too many people think the lad would single handedly brought us wins against Fulham, West Brom, Newcastle and Southampton.

The team is hardly creating a shitful of chances so it's a bit beyond expectation the lad was single handedly turn those results into better ones.
