Haven't watched it coincidentally since Mercedes started to dominate. Used to be boss to watch, but now tedious as fuck.

Same for me, except it was way back when Ferrari and Schumacher made it a boring processional run around a track, rather than a race. If they weren't already starting in pole position, in which case, it was a 99% predetermined result, then they'd take the lead early, and the rest just fought over the crumbs. Anything that becomes so uncompetitive is a turnoff.

I'd have voted for the car over Hamilton, if we're talking about 'personality'

In truth, the car, and the team of mechanics and designers behind it, are at least 80% of the success.

The Hamilton myth was well and truly busted the other week when Hamilton had covid and they stuffed some kid in his car and he nearly won.

That's harsh to say the least. I don't know what Hamilton myth exists, but there's very little doubt he is an extraordinary driver in an extraordinary car. Russell did a brilliant job - as indeed could many drivers on (and indeed off) the grid, but to say the "Hamilton myth was well and truly busted" is deeply unfair.

Anyway, this is not about Lewis, its about Jordan. I don't like any of these GOAT or SPOTY type circuses, but Jordan deserves to have praise lavished on him for all he's done. Superstar man.

So how long did they allow voting for?! Just gone to try and vote and everywhere is announcing Hamilton as POTY. Dont have a problem with that but the way it was organised was utter pants.

Nice to see Jurgen and the team win awards all the same.

It was about 20-30 minutes. I flung him an online vote!

This thread is full of people being pricks. Anybody who thinks Hamilton isn’t the best driver of his generation and possibly any generation hasn’t got the first idea what they’re talking about.

Try celebrating how well Liverpool did rather than trying to pull down others.

Negged for not chosing Hendo despite Hamilton deserving it. Where is your blind, unwavering, frothing-at-the-mouth loyalty?
