As much as Klopp moans about too many games in a short period, I think this Liverpool team struggle for rhythm after coming back from a week's break. 

 

Our first game back from such breaks often tend to be sluggish and devoid of intensity. Today was just a clusterfuck of the worst kind. So fucking annoying allowing Big Sam the smugness of another result at Anfield.

AOC gave the ball away a few times but he was at least picking up the ball and driving it forward and he put in a perfect cross for Bobby , so not sure how he is copping stick for this one.

 

ps Still not sure why there has been no discussion of how Ajayi looks offside with two others for his goal.

Poor performance. The Sam Pigs will be hailed for their tactical acumen but if Curtis Jones hadn't been so fucking casual and we played a game in which holding an opponent down while you jumped for the ball was a foul then they'd have got what they deserved - fuck all.

True. Curtis had a poor game today. Offered no intensity, no guile, took too many touches and even before that final error, he had been robbed of the ball 3 or 4 times in the game.

 

However, there were some other poor performances in the team and today, there are many who just weren't at it either.

IT’S A FUCKING SHIT GAME PLAN! 19 times in 20 - probably more - it doesn’t work. When it does it’s a masterclass and Lineker’s tongue goes up the arse of the manager behind it. When it doesn’t nobody gives a shit, and it’s why no-mark cunts like Allardyce utilise it all the time. Low risk, high reward.

Would have liked to have seen Shaq come on. His ability to pick a pass in a tight area could have made a difference. Thiago would have been gigantic out there.

 

One awkward away game coming up and one tough away game after that. The last three game period we started with a poor performance against Fulham and then we finished it with two top wins. More of the same over the next eight days and it's not awful.

Putting all rational thought aside, I can’t help but see Sammy Lee as a little weasel. His association with Allardyce is the first thing I think of when I see him. I’m not sure he ever actually played for us anymore.

Last three pages and barely a mention of Kevin Friend. Every single throw-in that cunt long-throw wanker took a week and 20 metres, their keeper kept each ball for an hour, every single time they got possession and were tackled, he blows for a foul. I thought there were two handballs and Mane being held late on, none of which were reviewed. Their goal offside?

Mate he's 19, how do you or anybody else know that he's not going to be world class?

 

I'd rather have him in the side than keita or chamberlain. 

 

People can go over the top but I've not seen anyone do that with him, not on here at least, and Klopp knows what he's doing with these lads.

Agreed, it’s one of those refereeing performances with no fucking clangers in there so it won’t get pulled up on MOTD, but he did the thing where he stops us building passing moves by letting their centre backs manhandle the forwards all the time, then when they knock it long their forwards drop under the tiniest bit of contact and get a nice free kick to waste time and get the grocks up the pitch.

 

It’s almost like he’s saying “come on, you’re better than them” and decides to even things up a bit with a dual application of the rules. Every game against shit like this it happens - we should be able to deal with it, but I’m fucking sick of having to try.
