Started ok, and got the goal early after a brilliant piece of play.

Then entered the ‘energy saving mode’ that we do from time to time. Lowered the tempo of the ball and less movement off it. We’re not very good when we do that, and as a result haven’t created much.

Would like to see us step it up and score an early goal second half, as these obviously at some stage will get a chance if it stays at the one goal lead.

Energy saving mode makes sense when we're rock solid so hopefully we are. But I would like to see us try and blitz them in the first 10 of the second.

Been a bit disappointed with Curtis, keeps overthinking things.

Yeah, he's clearly not used to this type of defensive set up.

West Brom playing it smart to be fair. They're in the game and frustrating us. They've had 2 opportunities on the counter too, where they could have got lucky as well.

Fat Sham will have seen that when Palace tried to go for it, they ended up losing 7 nil. So why would he do that? He's depressing in his style, but he isn't daft.

Lots of sides do this against City and we'd complain that they're not even trying. City have a lot more players capable of unlocking this type of defence though.

I haven’t seen such a disgraceful display of anti-football since Mourinho brought his Spurs team to Anfield in our previous home game.

Its in a different league though. There's a school of thought that says that Mourinho isn't really "anti-football" he just plays a really shit style of football but a style of football nonetheless. I reluctantly agree with that.

This is beyond that though. Its an insult to alehouse football.

I think city try a few shots rather than keep passing it across the face of the box.
