No thanks to the officials. We consistently seem to concede more free kicks than our opponents even though we generally have more of the ball and try to be more productive with it. The officials, with the way they miss so much of the dark arts yet penalise what hasn't happened, are complicit in encouraging coaches to train their players to be shithouses, and for players to con them.

 

I very much doubt that referees, when they watch games back (which they must do as part of their work), look at how players routinely cheat and the systematic way they go about disrupting the opposition by breaking up play through getting free kicks, by diving and by targetting an individual on the opponents' team. Instead, I suspect they are too busy patting themselves on the back or sitting there like Randy Marsh watching porn.
