Nervous about this. One of those nights where the fans could have us 3 up after 20 minutes.

These negative cunts need a good fucking hiding. We can go 3 points clear here, any sort of performance like Sunday and I'm gonna run down the ground and egg the team coach.

I actually don't think any of our usual front 3 have been at the level they've been over previous seasons. Jotas performances have masked how the others have dropped a level imo.

In a nutshell. Firmino and Mane in particular.  If they can get back in form soonish we'll walk this weak league. If not, it'll be a hard slog and almost anybody could win it.

I tend not to look at the table until after 13 matches; with a third of the season gone, some of the anomalies have been balanced out and you can get a realistic view of what various teams should be competing for.

If we win tonight, I'm going to relish that table.

For me it was always 10 matches but maybe 13 is better.

That Twitter account that always seems to get the Liverpool team news right is tweeting that Konate at Leipzig is the number one target.

Would be surprised to see them sell to us mid-season, especially given the CL draw.

Also mentioned that Thiago could be back playing by the end of the month...

Hahaha what a load of nonsense.

His numbers mask a lot of flaws in his game...the way we play and the amount of chances we create, the numbers should be more higher.

I think the front three have been below par as a unit for quite some time. Our main attacking threat comes from the full backs.

Had a quick google about the Konate lad. He is good but apparently has suffered significant injury problems in the past year or so. Muscle and soft tissue injuries specifically.

Not sure we would or should be looking at signing a centerback who is likely to be keeping Van Dijk and Gomez company in the physio room.

Don't know of the "lot of flaws" Salah supposedly has. He has comfortably been the best of our front three this season. Apart from the goals, he has created a good number of chances for teammates and hasnt had more than a couple really quiet games.

Constantly a threat and has also improved his defensive work. I definitely won't be lumping him in with the other two in terms of inconsistent performances. Seems some people would always think he is not at his "highest level". But guess what, a 44 goal season was always going to be almost impossible to replicate. He is still pretty special.
