But some of the revisionism about Shilton being overrated in his prime is daft. He might be a Brexit knobhead but he was outstanding for most of his career. 

 

I have read plenty of Forest fans in the past say that Shilton through his whole career was shite at pensand they hardly remember him saving one. All through his career he waited till the penalty was struck hoping to dive the right way

 

 

To be fair to him he got higher off the ground when out jumped by Maradona than he did when he got lobbed about two yards off his line against Germany 4 years later

Watch the game in full if you ever get a chance. Argentina were a mile better than England. Barnes cames on late and created a goal and almost created another but that was it for England.

Argentina dominated the game and Terry Fenwick (Terry fucking Fenwick played with England in a World Cup quarter final) should have been sent off about 4 times - even allowing for 80s style assaults.
