agree we should have prioritised today. But to play Van Den Berg alongside Williams would have prob done more harm than good for their game, and unfair to them too, up against experienced players and 2 young kids thrown in. Surely, experience alongside 1 of them is/was needed.

Yeah.

 

It is obviously really, really shite luck to have two class centre halves fucked at same time for the long term, and it is of course exacerbated when you only have 3 senior ones and the 3rd one is regularly injured/is highly unlikely to manage 3 games a week...

 

Add in fact that your 4th option is a midfielder by trade and you also have an injury crisis in midfield and it is a nightmare.

This guy comments on footballer injuries and he says a likely explanation is he has a bone bruise, which takes time to show up on scans and has an unpredictable timeline in terms of getting better.

The TV thing is shite, but it is a product of the more than one broadcaster situation and them wanting best teams they can get in their slot...

 

BT have obviously fewer games and in fewet slots and they want best teams in their slots.....one of their few slots is this one and it is shite, but if you were them you'd want best teams for it.

 

The issue is that the clubs can do fuck all as they sold their souls to tv and tv call the shots in return - BT are looking after their investment, they want the biggest audiences they can get....they probably only get so many 'first picks' for their slots too.

I dont think that is right that the clubs can do fuck all. Sure, there isnt anything they can do under the current contract terms but in future ones, it needs to be in a contract as a condition of sale. But once again, the smaller clubs wont give a fuck because they see it as levelling up the field for them, same as this 3 subs rule in the PL.
