I'm not really put off by actors who can't act or always play the same role - I know what I'm going to get and if I fancy that type of film I'll happily go for it. So Arnie, the Rock, Sly, Statham, Winstone etc  - no problem. 

It's the smug, self-satisfied Act-ors or the un-funny American "comedy " stars I can't usually take -the likes of Streep, Clooney, Grant, Ferrell and Sandler. Obviously they'll all have done some films I've enjoyed but as a general rule I avoid.

I thought Oh Brother Where Art Though was good, especially the music, though i didnt think Clooney can do comedy, OK but a bit wooden, his two mates in it are funny as fuck.

I enjoyed that one and thought Clooney was good in it - probably because he wasn't taking himself too seriously. And you can't beat a bit of bluegrass.

Cruise is great in The Last Samurai as well...Although I haven't forgiven him for ruining The Jack Reacher movies when you consider in the books Reacher is built like Laurence Dallaglio and Cruise well, is not

 

Plus I don't think he's as annoying as he used to be as in his earlier roles
