I can’t really disagree with the team selection - after rightly prioritising the game against Leicester, players needed to be rested. That always means a risk in the CL. The disappointment for me is the lack of an obvious game plan. Combine that with some poor individual performances and this is hardly a surprise. Annoying that we switched off so badly before the subs were made.

This was a slightly weaker team on paper probably, but the main difference is clearly the total lack of intensity in our play today. 
 

Intensity is our identity Klopp says, and Leicester never had the chance to breathe against us, while today it’s been totally missing.

By removing our attacking width from both full backs....asking a 34 year old to play a 2nd game in a few days, by having our 10th different pairing at centre half, by Gini being dead on his feet after playing about 4 games prior to tonight in a week or so and having nobody to replace him due to injuries and by having Divock Origi in front 3 as opposed to Jota or Firmino....
