Scrap the PGMOL.

Scrap clear & obvious.

Bring the referees under Premier League control.

Have Stockley Park be run independently under the auspices of the Prem.

Hire the best men or women from wherever and invest in better training.

Ban outright moonlighting in the far east.

Do all of that and I guarantee you standards will improve ahead of just going back to these bent fucking twats ruining a result cos' they hate the manager.

I admit some of the refs today are agonizingly bad, and deserve to be sacked.

From your post I read that you want to keep VAR but under a totally changed regime. I used to be positive about VAR. I'm not so sure anymore.

And the way they continue to appoint ref's who we (or other teams) have a bad history with smells of someone shouting "You don't tell us what to do!". That is a very unprofessiponal approach, just plain childish actually.

Well that's Webb & Riley summed up to a tee.

Unprofessional & childish.

But it's not VAR it's the referees that are the problem.

VAR is the problem. It has killed the joy.

The spontaneous joyous eruptions are still gone with VAR & good refs.

Fuck VAR.

Bizarre.

You're more arsed about the technology than the people using it at best incompetently or at worst corruptly.

Getting rid of var will not improve refereeing standards but will remove the ability to hold these bent fuckers to account.

But keeping it allows those incompetents a get out clause.

Since VAR we've had Lampard openly question the referees impartiality, Liverpool & now Forest.

That was unheard of prior to VAR.

They are rightly being called out soon it will reach critical mass.

I mean years from now we'll be wondering how a Luton fan had anything to do with Everton Vs Forest or that referees could moonlight in Saudi Arabia while being paid by Abu Dhabi.

I'm all for scrapping VAR but sack every referee and destroy the PGMOL first.

They're not mutually exclusive.

No but getting rid of VAR while keeping the PGMOL is akin to building an airbus and then powering it with a Ford Escort engine.

We had plenty of years before VAR and it still wasnt as bad with it. Remove that first and then let the officials show their 'real' ability rather than hiding behind it. It's a shitshow.

How about the penalty of being able to feel better about shouting about refs does not outweigh the fact you can never, ever celebrate a goal properly? VAR is fucking shit.

It's funny how VAR was in use for the CL game with Bayern and Madrid buy having good officials meant you never really noticed. VAR is badly used over here, its not perfect either but I'd like to see it used with competent refs.

For a league that thinks itself a world wide league with the best talents not headhunting tbe best refs world wide is nonsense

In what way shape or form has VAR being around done that? It's actually way, way worse because of VAR as at least previously you could just tell yourself "he mustn't have had a good view" or "he only saw it once at full speed". Now they have everything they need to get decisions right and it's worse than ever.

And nobody has been held to account at all. It has exposed them, I agree on that, we can all see now what a fucking sham it is and they'll give whatever decision they want to give. But it's not holding anybody to account. Now we just get them treating us all like fucking idiots with the likes of Gallagher and Webb telling us that what we see with our own eyes is not actually the case, and in fact it's something completely different that only these fully qualified refs can see.

The people who operate VAR are shit.

Getting rid of it won't change how shit they are.

I don't think anybody thinks it will. But at least we won't have VAR and we can get back to properly celebrating goals, so there's that.

How long will that last though?

The curtain has been pulled from these twats for the world to see.

The more Gallagher & Walton open their mouths the stupider they begin to look.

What do you think is going to happen? I mean, the obvious thing is cut the head off the snake and sack that SYP cunt, but that won't happen. He should never have been hired, we all knew he was going to make things a million times worse and he has. But there's no heat on him at all other than from the likes of us.

Gallagher and Walton (and now Dean) have looked stupid for years. No-one's arsed, they're still in jobs and aren't under any pressure.

With bent referees that people seem quite happy to ignore?

If this was politics it would be voting tory for getting the rwanda deal done.

Again, what do you think will happen to them? I agree they're fucking terrible, it's at an all time low. What I'm saying is that fuck all will happen.

The idea of examining every goal is shit. It doesn't matter if they're perfect if it takes away the most important moment in football. I want a goal to be a goal..a goal should not be an opportunity for someone to award a goal in a minute or two. The entire premise of VAR is shite.

The 'Hand of God' would not have counted if it happened today. That in itself is reason to get rid of it, but if you need another reason then Diego's second that day would also have been disallowed for a foul by an Argentina player in the build up.

We'll end up like Italy with City being Juve and them paying out a £100m every few years as the cost of doing business and them just blithely carrying on.

Right now VAR has exposed the duplicity and mendacity of the PGMOL with clubs openly questioning the impartiality of officials.

If you get rid of it, the PGMOL will grow bolder and then we'll all see just how utterly bent the prem officiating really is.

Yeah VAR would never miss blatant handballs in the box!

What makes you say that.

Have you actually seen some of the decisions they haven't given.
