I can't believe 2 of my 7 only got one vote. It's not as if I went off-piste with obscure or controversial choices.

Anyway, I could only find 4 off the play-off list who I've heard more than one good song by.  Maybe my ears need to get out more.

I haven't heard of half of them to be honest mate! Early round fodder.

Predicting a Carole King v Madonna final.

I think people were just making names up to make it harder for me to sort out. When I got to @SasaS picks I nearly smashed the place up. They are probably very talented women. If they exist.

Peggy Lee

Enya (one of the richest female singers in the world)

Janet Jackson (only one vote for JJ?? She should be in and around the final stages)

Kirsty MacColl

MIA

Yes she really should.

From wiki:

Having sold over 100 million records,[3][4][5] Jackson is one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time. She has amassed an extensive catalog, with singles such as "Nasty", "Rhythm Nation", "That's the Way Love Goes", "Together Again" and "All for You"; she holds the record for the most consecutive top-ten entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by a female artist with 18. In 2008, Billboard placed her number seven on its list of the Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, and in 2010 ranked her fifth among the "Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Artists of the Past 25 Years". In December 2016, the magazine named her the second most successful dance club artist of all-time after Madonna.[6] She has been cited as an inspiration among numerous performers. Jackson was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.[7]

Im not one for celebrity crushes, but Janet Jackson from 1990 was something else.

I'm not counting Aretha Franklin because I may as well just give it to her.

So please name 7 female solo artists you think should be in this tournament. i'm only going to have 32 names not 64 like the mens because I'm a sexist pig. Usual rules apply, please just leave your list and don't vote for more than 7 I'll only accept your first 7.

Sinead O'Connor

Lisa Stansfield

Amy Winehouse

Dusty Springfield

Kate Bush

Madonna

Lady GaGa

Lisa Stansfield?

Are you just naming women that you know sang a song at some point?

Oh, well that's alright then. Declare her the winner right now.

If I want to, I will. In-fact I should have left her out with Aretha.

Pity her singing isn’t!

Have you been snorting custard creams again?!
