He's got his hands across his chest and is a foot away from Jota. You're simply an idiot if you think that's a pen.

No I don't think it's a pen. The issue was it was no fucking different to gomez which was also not a penalty

Ladies and gentlemen, Liverpool will be playing four-four-fucking-two!

Can't complain at a point. A fair result. City were poor. We were poor after about the twenty minute mark. The conditions didn't help.

Thought Matip did well for us. Milner too, when he had to come on and fill in at right back. Klopp's tactics made it difficult for City to go from the back into midfield. He hot that bit spot on. We just didn't really offer enough going forward and the final ball was lacking.

For us, I don't think anyone was any good, bar Alisson really. Odd game. We didn't need to be good.

Also, the Firmino thing is getting a bit ridiculous. People acted like he killed us all game, yet you can't tell me our other attackers were any better. We were worse without him.

Thought Matip played well myself.

Shaqiri was woeful when he came on.

Good of us to give Gerard Houllier one last stint in the dugout for the last twenty minutes there.

We needed it to be fair. Team looked dead on its feet. Missed Thiago and Fabinho. Allisson, Matip and Gomez were very good. No was the only forward who was any good. Matip looked dead on his feet for half an hour but did well. Gutted that Shaq didn’t just twat it at the end.

Very happy with that result after we ran out of steam and struggled to play through their pressing in the second half.

With a bit more accuracy we could’ve created plenty more chances in the first half, they didnt know how to stop us when we ran at them.

Finish above these at the end of the season and I’ll be happy.

Weird game. Thought everyone bar the keeper and two centrebacks was somewhere between not very good and utter shite. Yet, we got a point away to City and they seemed scared stiff of us throughout.

Thiago would have made a huge difference today.

After the first half hour, the front three seemed to be playing completely independently of each other with predictable results.

Anyway, would have taken a point before the game.

Not bad return having played Chelsea, Man City and Everton away and Arsenal at home in 8 games.

Yeah really solid start especially with a lot of injuries as well. 9 points from 9 including our two toughest games done in the Champions League.

Villa was a mental game but outstanding response.

We need to just rest a lot of the players now in the champions league. Tsimikas, Rhys Williams, Curtis Jones will get game time and let as many of the lads rest.

Trent's injury could be a blessing if he's okay for Leicester. Three meaningless games for England. He walked off okay but the worry is it must have been a big enough concern that he didn't stay on.

Fabinho and Thiago due back in the coming weeks.
