Great experience for Rhys Williams again tonight. Ridiculously young age for a centre half, he hasn't even filled out yet. Hopefully he has a great career ahead of him.

Lets not write Bobby off. Going through an indifferent run but he is a superb footballer.

He absolutely should not be written off and he will of course play a massive part in what we do, but right now we have a lad on fire, a lad who has made a difference every time he has been in side and a lad who when he plays right now improves us, makes us more threatening and is working better with our other attackers - helping us be a better side.

For my money City away is perfect for him, he is exactly the sort of player that their suspect defence against direct, quick attacking play have struggled against....and if it does not work, what an option Bobby is off bench....or even if we need his experience, intelligence and hard work to help us protect a lead by defending from front/using ball cleverly.

Teams evolve as well and maybe teams have started to work out the puzzle of our front 3 with Bobby a bit more than they had, Jota has just made that puzzle a bit different and poses new questions.

He just not doing things quick enough right now. The aggression is missing.

Lack of confidence which is making him slower ( as you say) and not doing things instinctively . He is also clearly not enjoying it either .  He'll be back

What a result! They are a really good team despite the score tonight. We are pretty much through now from a group that wasn't easy on paper. Really gives us breathing space in the next few weeks and means we can play a few of the peripheral players to give them experience, while resting lads like Mo or Sadio for the league.

Great result, managed to keep a clean sheet with Rhys William's finding his feet still.

Atalanta will be scared to death of us in 3 weeks time. Beat them and we are virtually through. Can rest players for the last two games.

Thoughts and prayers for Midgetland they really can't catch a break.

After playing ajax, they may well catch an "out" break though..........

I'm here all week..........

We'll get slammed as we are in shite form but just about sneaking wins against dross! This lot and Citeh will make us look like the shit cunts we really are!

Imagine what would have happened if we were good.

I just hope your prediction for Citeh is every bit as accurate.

We would be through , Atalanta on 4, Midgetland on max 9  and us on 12

Bobby will be back, there’s no doubt about that. He’s always has a dip in form at some point in the season. It’s just great to have options now that don’t involve playing Origi on the left wing.

Has he even conceded a goal yet?

Even better than the second goal for me. Crazy level of skill and confidence to chip the ball up like that.

    • I'd swap half our squad, and all our forwards, for a young Suarez. By far the most driven player I've ever seen. Absolute fucking nutcase. Exactly what we need.
    • Proof is in the pudding this season the injuries have had their effect and shown fully the limitations in the squad. A crowd, refs not being cunts and a few new players might help. Mental and physical tiredness too after the last few seasons.
    • We really miss that talismanic player who wills the other players to step it up a notch. Salah is great and all but he’s not imposing in the sense Gerrard or Suarez was where the other players would be ashamed and embarrassed not to give it there all. We have Virgil and Hendo but obviously that’s the crux of the issue. I’d swap all three of our forwards for a young Suarez.
    • I think Kloppo’s style is very ambitious. We need all our players to work very hard and do their part. If everybody does and every single player sticks to the game plan, we’re almost unstoppable. But when one or two are out of form, or a new player doesn’t stick to the game plan 100% we’re equally poor. That counter pressing style is great when we force opposition out of options. Then we’ll win the ball high up the field and can immediately use the unbalance to our advantage. If one single player doesn’t do his job, there’ll be a way out for the opp and all we achieve is being more vulnerable with too few people back to defend. If we do succeed with the high pressure, and one player doesn’t commit himself to the immediate attack, but i.e. plays a back pass to keep things controlled, the risky high line was all for nothing. We’ve seen this from Kloppo before. When it works, his teams are the best in the world. When it doesn’t, clueless. In a way it’s either on or it’s not, nothing in between.
    • I wonder why that's all people are doing when we've watched the same game play out for months on end . There essentially is a line on the pitch that moves with play its made up of players.
