Not going too far back for this one. The corresponding fixture between the teams back in February followed a familiar pattern to a lot of our games this year. We didn't play particularly well, we had some ropey moments at the back, but we faced up to the challenge and came through it to record a 3-2 win and keep our title charge going. Gini, Mo and Sadio got the goals in what turned out to be the last game of our unbeaten league run stretching back to the game at City the previous January.

Number one in the charts back then was the excellent 'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd. In an era where the likes of Ed Sheeran and Drake can get to No1 by releasing any old shit, and punchable faces like Lewis Capaldi can have a successful music career, it helps that every now an again a song that is actually decent can get a run at the top.

We need our blinding lights to start hitting their stride properly. This season we've seen glimpses from our front 3 (and Jota) but not yet where they are all purring, effective and clinical at the same time. It would be nice if our centre back options could include Big Bird, and I'd love to see El Maestro be available and ready to show why he was such a coveted player. Our midfield would benefit from having a bit of creativity in there alongside the usual industry.

If Matip is available, Im sure Jurgen will play him rather than young Williams. The lad has done all expected of him but he hasnt been pitted against any decent players (cue west ham jokes!). And last night late on in the game, he completely misjudged a cross into our box like a school boy and despite his leap, it was still about 3 foot above his head.

I think Jota has earnt a starting place ahead of Bobby now, it's just whether Jurgen starts him ahead of Bobby seeing as he played the whole game last night.

Hendo is clearly being 'managed' at this point with his 45 minute game time. Hopefully he can take the full 90 or most of it against West Ham.

One thing that bugs me is this 3 subs in the PL. This is why the small time cunt clubs didnt want 5 subs to continue in the league. They knew with the games coming thick and fast, European and international football, clubs like us would get shitloads of injuries, even if they're just niggles. It levels the PL up for them and gives them greater chance of getting results. Bunch of cunts.

West Ham will be afar bigger challenge than Midgetland last night.

Fabinho and Gomez were bullied for large portions of the Sheff United game and before Fabinho's injury, that was our first choice partnership. Anyone we put out there will get bullied, except maybe Matip, but we don't know how fit he is. Might as well put Williams out there if Matip can't go.

Unfortunately i can see us lining up:

Alisson

Trent

Gomez

Henderson

Robertson

Wijnaldum

Milner

Jones

Salah

Mane

Firmino

Fabinho's absence felt keenly in both midfield and defence which for me is why we should have got another centre half in during the summer rather than relying on a midfielder to drop back there when we already have injury prone players in midfield.

Options wearing thin....Does anyone actually know for sure if Matip Thiago Naby are available? Every press/post game Klopp doesn't seem to be confident in saying so.

Back to 433 for this 1 as well please.

Alisson Trent R.Williams Gomez Robbo Wijnaldum Henderson Jones Salah Mane Jota

Antonio is likely to be ruled out. Small blessings and all that. Would playing trent in beside gomez be an option? Neville played plenty of times at centre back for united and he's tiny. We could play Milner at full back then. He'd at least be able to attack better with his natural foot.

That is something...wouldn't be experimenting too much. Neither Trent or Gomez are great in the air. Sheffield Utd exposed us a for a while on that one and if West Ham play Haller I could see them doing similar.

I think if need be Rhys Williams starts otherwise change as little as possible. Assuming Thiago is fit our possession/attacking stats should improve even more and if those up front click then hopefully they are so freaked about what we have going forward that the defence wont be under the cosh so much.

I think Firmino will start because he scored against Sheffield Utd, if he is dropped after scoring wouldn't makes sense. Klopp loves him and backs him to find form. 4-0
