Ive been listening to a lot of Hank Williams on the back of this comp. I think he is much better than i ever gave him credit for. Lots of songs i heard growing up that i didnt know were him.

 

Rocky 4 is the greatest sporting film of all time though, so for that reason, its Brown.

The disrespect of the abilities of the country musicians in this has been hilarious and pretty fucking sad.

A really tough call but I'm going with the genius who fathered contemporary country, western and gospel music and had the first rock and roll hit.  All within a recording career of about five years.
