If any of them were Muslim they'd be in orange jumpsuits with bags over their heads and no right to a trial if they even discussed going for a walk near capitol hill on that day.

Yes, hopefully Biden will close Guantanamo Bay - another dreadful legacy of the despotic last 4 years.

They, no doubt, believed they had something to protest against.  So do suicide bombers.

It's pretty obvious that the choice of words conveys a specific message (because, y'know, that's what words are for).  In this instance:-

"terrorists" = enemies of America and of democracy who must be condemned unconditionally;

"rioters" = people who may have a legitimate grievance, but let their anger get the better of them;

"protesters" = American citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.

You missed out patriots.

Hope he can relax as comfortably with his feet up and appreciate the cell bed he'll be on for the foreseeable future.

I hope for his sake that no Presidents have recently signed any Executive Orders calling for 10 years for anyone who attacks a Federal building.

He probably had a clause that it only applied to Dems, and anyone wearing MAGA merch is exempt. Would explain why they're all happy to look like gimps.

Not trying to pull you up for nothing but again, what sources do you use? If you would like I can link you to an article from an expert on estimating crowd sizes - especially at DC events and at most there was 100k - he thinks probably less than that. This is what 850k look like in DC:

Is that from when A-ha played there?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-parler/google-suspends-parler-social-networking-app-from-play-store-apple-gives-24-hour-warning-idUSKBN29D34N

(Reuters) - Alphabet Inc’s Google on Friday suspended the Parler social networking service from its app store, citing posts inciting violence and demanding “robust” content moderation from the app favored by many supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Apple Inc on Friday also gave the service 24 hours to submit a detailed moderation plan, pointing to participants using the service to coordinate Wednesday’s siege of the U.S. Capitol building.

The actions by the two Silicon Valley companies mean that the network seen as a haven for people expelled from Twitter could become unavailable for new downloads on the world’s main mobile phone app stores within a day. It would still be available in mobile browsers.

Right-leaning social media users in the United States have flocked to Parler, messaging app Telegram and hands-off social site Gab, citing the more aggressive policing of political comments on mainstream platforms such as Twitter Inc and Facebook Inc. Twitter permanently suspended President Trump’s account on Friday.

Was there any justification, or evidence, that proves definitively that they had something to protest, no.

They are not protestors and they have no justification for their action, no matter what their warped rabbit hole echo chamber may say, all evidence and facts disprove their claims. They are there because of a lie which has no legitimacy whatsoever. They have no right to protest a lie and they have no justifiable reasons for their action and whoever is promoting these lies, or encouraging action should be held to account, more so if it’s the fucking president!

This is not normal behaviour and in no way can be normalised and waved away as legitimate protest, it is none of the above, it’s fucking madness.

They are protestors because they protest. What they protest against, is their cause just, legitimate or justified is linguistically irrelevant. The word protestor does not carry in itself a value judgement, it describes action.

Unwatchably shit. I think I posted about it on here once after one contestant (who was only about 8 or 9) claimed to always have been a feminist and into classic French cuisine.

Thats if you take their justification for action, or protest, which we can not, so they are not protestors, they are actors committing a crime and an irrational act.

This is fucking pointless.

If you want to split hairs and play semantics, fine, you do you, but’s in wrong in any way to give this any legitimacy.

You are absolutely right. This is fucking pointless. It is like saying they are not Trump supporters, because there is nothing to support. Stop legitimizing Trump.
