Given the easy passage they were afforded, probably with prior notice, it's not inconceivable to imagine, they may have hoped to get onto the floor before the alarm was raised inside and take a senator captive

Just seen the clip of the woman getting shot. How deranged do you need to be to try to break past barricaded doors to get to politicians whilst a gun is trained on you?
